Ava’s POV
Cameron leans forward obediently and meets my lips with his.
As usual, his touch sends sparks of energy and I need more, always more.
I tug on the bottom of his shirt, lifting it up until he pulls away from the kiss and takes over, yanking it over his head and letting it fall onto the floor.
His eyes move to my tank top and I quickly throw it off and onto the floor as well, followed just as quickly with my sports bra.
Cameron looks at me appreciatively but doesn’t make a move.
I grab the waistband of his blue athletic shorts and pull him close again, lifting up slightly to reach his lips until he leans over to meet mine.
I reach into his shorts and grab his already hard erection, still a little surprised at the size.
I run my hand up and down the length and Cameron lets out a small grunt as he buries his face into my neck and inhales.
His hands move to my hips and I lift slightly as he pulls my bottoms off, leaving me completely naked on the counter.
I tug down on Cameron’s shorts, but he is already ahead of me and they disappear in a heap on the floor along with the other clothes.
Tugging Cameron by his arms, I wrap my legs around his waist and pull him close until he is pressing against my core, his hands on my hips.
I gasp as he pushes in, placing my hands on the counter behind me and arching forward against his thrusts.
Suddenly, Cameron lifts me against his chest, still inside of me, and carries me to the bed.
He lays me gently onto the bed and I feel slightly disappointed when he pulls out, but it’s short lived as he sends tingles all the way to my toes when he kisses my belly, my breasts, my collar bone, my neck.
I feel like I am melting from his touch, my body getting heavier and heavier.
Finally, his lips meet mine again and it is slow and sweet.
He positions himself in-between my legs and slowly presses inside me again, but this time it is slower than before, gentle, leisurely, as he kisses my neck, nibbles on my ear…
“Ava.” Cameron whispers my name as he kisses my jawline and his breath as he breathes my name sends tingles shooting down my body.
I grab his face and bring his lips to mine, kissing him deeply, lovingly.
It is our longest lovemaking yet, no rushing, no screaming. Just whispers and kisses. Slowly and thoroughly.
We are communicating our feelings without words. I feel how much Cameron cares for me, and I want him to feel how much he means to me.
He holds me against his chest afterwards and strokes my back.
I never want to leave from this spot. I want to stay here forever, in my mate’s arms, completely satisfied.
He leans his head down and kisses my forehead.
“I should go, I have some things to go.”
I move my head to kiss his chest before looking up at him.
“Do you have to?”
He chuckles softly.
“I never want to.”
My heart skips.
“It won’t take me long. I can meet you again in an hour, maybe for some lunch?”
I realize that I haven’t eaten today, and I am suddenly ravenous.
“I could get some food and meet you on the back patio, picnic style.” I smile at him as I rub my hand absently up and down his bumpy abs.
“Sounds like a plan.” He squeezes me tight against him and kisses me hard on the lips before rolling off the bed.
I watch him get dressed, still amazed by my mate’s sexy body.
He pauses with his shirt in his hand and his eyes roam over my naked body on the bed.
“On second thought, I wouldn’t mind just coming back up here.”
I grin and roll out of bed to wrap my hands around his waist, standing on tip toes while he bends down to kiss me.
“We’ll come back up after our picnic.”
He smiles at me and pats my bottom before throwing his shirt on and leaving.
I stand still for a moment after he disappears, smiling to myself.
My phone on my nightstand starts vibrating and I pick it up.
Texts from Lily.
Ah.
I swipe the phone open and read her texts. She’s confused about Rachel and asking if I’m okay.
I’m fine. Meet me in the kitchen in five minutes?
She sends a thumbs up emoji.
I get dressed quickly in my favorite green sundress and nude flats, quickly brushing out and throwing my hair into a long braid.
I even throw on some lip gloss at the last second, excited for Cameron and my picnic.
This is our chance to talk, get to know each other better. Which is something I have been wanting to do, the timing just hasn’t been right, with all the attacks and freaking Rachel arriving.
I shiver at the thought of Rachel and Cameron’s face when he came to the training room.
Wouldn’t want to be her right now.
At least Cameron seems to have forgiven me for last night.
I head towards the kitchen, still smiling.
When I reach the bottom of the stairs, I turn as I hear footsteps behind me.
Goosebumps shoot up and down my arms as I watch scary guy walking towards me, looking murderous.
I swallow and turn around, walking a little bit faster towards the kitchen.
“Ava.”
I chew on my lip and try not to physically shiver when he says my name.
I hesitate slightly before I turn.
He is so close to me that I have to lean my head back to look up at him.
I go to step back and he grabs my wrist.
I try to tug it away, but he keeps a tight grip on it as he leans down towards me.
Holding my chin up, I try to sound brave as I look back at him.
“What do you want?”
“You need to leave.”
“What?”
My mouth falls open in shock. Leave?
He leans even closer so that his face is an inch from mine, his eyes hard.
“You are not safe here. You need to leave.”
“Is that a threat?” I try another tug on my hand.
He raises his eyebrows at me.
“I’m telling you what you should do if you want to be safe.”
I hear footsteps behind Chris, and I consider yelling out, but he drops my hand and walks away.
Confused, rubbing my wrist, I watch as Lily walks over to me wide-eyed.
“Ava! Can you please explain to me what is going on?”
