ROSALINE
"Rick" I smiled, getting up from my seat and walking over to him with a small limp. At least, I hoped it wasn't that noticeable. Cumming that hard while standing had taken its toll on my legs but I wasn't complaining.
"Rosa" he spread his arms and I hugged him.
"Welcome to the company!" I patted him and then pulled away, giving him a big smile.
"Thank you, Manager Rosaline" he smiled and I laughed.
"Why are you here though?" I asked, returning to my seat and as I got back into my chair, I realized he was staring at me.
"What?" I asked with a brow raised.
"You are limping, did you get injured somewhere?" He walked over to me.
"Oh, I hit my leg against something hard last night and so this is it" I lied smoothly.
"You should be more careful." He frowned.
"There goes the big brother Rick" I chuckled.
"Why did you come here though? Just to see me?" I asked.
"Yeah and also since I am a new employee of the team, I guess I will have to go around every now and then and get familiar with the place."
"What do you mean?" I asked, not quite understanding him.
"They asked me to come over here. There are some documents that we have to review as I have heard?"
"Oh that. That's right, these documents have a little bit of issues. Russo isn't satisfied with the contracts, he can be hard to satisfy at times" my eyes moved around the table, searching for the documents but I couldn't find them so I got up on my feet.
"I think I dropped them in that cabinet last night" I walked over to the cabinet and Rick followed after me.
I opened the cabinet and found the documents inside of it.
"Got it" I picked it and turned, bumping into Rick who had been standing right behind me.
Before I could shove him away or just push the documents into his shoulder and return to my chair, the door had opened and Russo walked in. It was the very first time he would be visiting my office. He was the CEO and of course would just call me into his office if he needed me so I wondered why he walked down here himself today.
Looking at his face, he had a hard look on his face and he wasn't even looking at me at all. His hard gaze was on Rick and he looked like if he had a gun on him right now, he could be constantly raining bullets on Rick. And without the gun, it looked like it would give him great joy to slam Rick's face into a wall over and over again.
"Here are the documents, Rick" I walked past Rick and walked over to Russo, trying to break the tension that had grown in the office in a matter of seconds.
"Good day, sir" I greeted.
"Good day sir" Rick greeted too from behind me.
"What are you doing in here?" Russo's voice was thick with an emotion I could not quite place my fingers on.
"I am now a member of the legal team of Massimo's Corporations, sir. It is a pleasure meeting you" Rick replied.
"And..." Russo stepped forward, walking past me to get closer to Rick.
"Ru..." I held myself back from calling his name.
"Why do you think being a member of the legal team gives you the right to be in her office?" He questioned.
"I... I only came for a document"
Russo suddenly chuckled and turned to face me, his handsome face still had that smile on his face but the smile didn't light up his face one bit. In fact, it only made Russo look deadly.
"Meet me in my office, Ms. Rosa. Now." The smile vanished and he walked out of the office.
"Oh my!" Rick breathed out in relief. "I don't think your uncle likes me one bit" Rick mumbled.
"Get going with the documents, I will see to him" I grabbed my phone from my table and walked out of the office with Rick.
In about two minutes, I was past the flirty secretary and was pushing the door open and stepping into Russo's office. He was staring at me with that same deadly look but I tried not to appear too affected by it.
And heavens help me! Because that deadly expression made him look hot! He looked like he was about to punish me for doing something wrong and...
"I am here, sir" I breathed out.
"How did he get employed here?" Was Russo's first question.
"He passed the necessary requirements and got employed. Very free and fair" I replied, not understanding why Russo seemed to hate Rick so much.
"Well, he is about to lose that job very freely and fairly too" Russo shrugged his shoulders.
"Russo!" I called his name, my voice raised. Rick was my best friend and I wasn't going to let him just lose the job that his efforts and hard work got him.
Before I could say more words which were sure going to be some really angry words, the door of his office was pushed open and a man walked in. He looked familiar and I immediately recalled that I usually saw him around Russo. One of the family's business men, surely.
"I am sorry for barging in, boss" he apologized to Russo who had pulled out a gun from his drawers already, his jaws clenched in his anger.
"What is this about?" Russo asked through clenched teeth.
The man glanced at me and bowed his head a little.
"Sunshine, step out for a second"
"We are not done with this conversation" I told him before walking out of the room since I had zero interest in the family business anyways.
I stood outside by his door and only a few seconds later, the door opened and Russo walked out of his office, the other man tagging along behind him.
"Take her home right this moment" he ordered the man.
"Yes boss"
"What's going on?" I asked Russo but it didn't seem like he had time to talk to me about it.
"Follow him home and wait for me in my room. Be a good girl and don't be stubborn. Stay in MY room until I am back." he gave me a quick head pat.
"Alright" I nodded and he walked away.
"Please follow me ma'am"
I pressed my lips into a thin line and followed the guy, knowing how things could get at times but yet trusting Russo to get things back in control in no time.
*
I glanced at the time on the phone with a worried look on my face. It was 9pm.
Russo was still not back and I had been calling him since an hour ago but he wasn't picking up his calls.
He had left the company since around 1pm and he had not even sent me a message since then. I had kept myself locked up in his room for hours now and now I was very much restless.
"Where are you, Russo?" I mused, going to the window and looking out of it.
A few minutes passed by before cars sped into the mansion. A small gasp left my lips and I watched fixatedly as the door of a black car was pulled open and Russo alighted from it.
"Oh god, he is back"
He walked off and I rushed towards the door, eagerly waiting for him to get the door. In about a minute, I heard his voice.
"Caramia"
I hastily unlocked the door and pulled it open. Russo's black shirt was stained with blood and my eyes widened.
"Are... Are you hurt?" I grabbed his arm and checked him but his face suddenly lit up and he chuckled, stepping into the room.
"I don't get hurt, Caramia. Whatever blood you find on me belongs to others" he began unbuttoning his bloody shirt and then he pulled it off his body.
I sighed in relief.
"Why didn't you pick your calls?"
"I was a bit too busy. Were you worried?" he asked.
"Of course, I was! You told me nothing about what was going on"
"Have you had dinner?"
"No, you asked me to remain here until you return."
"Such a good girl. Go downstairs and have dinner now, I am going to take a bath and get rid of these blood stains."
