Chapter 3 - Rejecting A Wolf

The teachers and staff were busy getting ready for the morning classes and back-to-school rituals. Who would ever think that as they were busy getting things ready, the alpha would mind link them that a situation was about to break out in the parking lot?

No details on what it was, just the orders to get outside and clear the area and try to keep the situation from escalating. That was nothing but a pipe dream.

As they rushed outside, panicked young wolves rushed inside.

"Make a pathway!" the principal shouted as they pushed through the students to reach outside. As they were rushing out, more students were rushing in.

The weaker teachers and staff were barely able to stand as the two powerful auras swirled around them.

'So strong!' they thought as they waded through the crowd.

When they finally made it to the front of the crowd, their hearts almost leaped out their throats as they saw Jace and Aurora pouncing onto Alaric and Maya respectively.

The two, each shifting to their wolves and aggressively attacked the latter. Luckily, the two being attacked weren't fools and were trained well enough.

Maya waited for the last second before she rolled out of the way and shifted into her tan-blonde wolf before making a mad dash toward the shocked teachers.

Maya wasn't stupid, she wasn't a match for a rational Aurora, let alone one who lost control of her wolf.

Seeing what would be a murder waiting to happen, the principal shifted and ran as fast as she could to block Aurora's way.

Seeing the old principal spring into action, the stronger teachers shifted, while the others rushed to help Maya. As the principal blocked Aurora's wolf, Ren let out a snarl, almost making the principal bare her neck in submission.

Shocked, the principal sent a mind link to the alpha in a panic.

'What the fuck is happening, why is my wolf trying to submit to Aurora?'

But before she could hear a reply, Ren attacked without care. Ren swiped her enlarged claws at the principal. A deadly attack aimed at her face, specifically her eyes.

But luckily, the other teachers tackled Ren, narrowly the principal escaped and with all seriousness realized they had to attack Aurora back.

'Attack her, she has lost control. If left alone, she'll kill us. We only have to stall until the pack warriors come.' the principal ordered. The teachers surrounded Ren, a formation was formed around the snarling she-wolf.

While the teachers were solely focused on Aurora and Ren, it didn't mean they forgot about Jace and Alaric. It was because the fight was so intense, they could not do anything but watch as the two young wolves were ripped into each other.

Alaric's wolf fur was dyed red, it was either blood from his own wounds or Jace's wounds. At first, Alaric thought to let Jace attack him as much as the others liked, but that thought quickly changed when he realized every attack was aimed at his vitals.

Jace wasn't in control, Jut was. And Jut wanted Alaric dead. Nothing would please the wolf more than to kill the wolf that touched and impregnated his mate. He would kill Alaric before ripping out that bastard's pup with its claws.

All reasoning and logic left him. To Jut, Alaric was no longer part of his family or pack. He was just someone to rip apart.

But even as he wanted to kill Alaric, Alaric was no easy opponent to kill.

Alaric was a full-blooded alpha male, next in line for the alpha of the pack. But that didn't mean Jace was weak. He may not be a pure-blooded alpha like Alaric, but he did have alpha blood in him.

His mother was an alpha-blooded wolf, not strong as Alaric's bloodline. Because of the pack leader, alpha bloodlines tend to mate with strong or stronger bloodlines.

It wasn't a stretch to say, with each new alpha, the next was stronger than the last. That's why the heir had to challenge and win against the old alpha. Either win in a fight or win in submission.

So their fight was at a standstill. Neither gained the upper hand on the other, but their wounds were still growing.

Only snarls and growls with the occasional yelps of pain could be heard throughout the parking lot. The principal and the other teachers were struggling against Aurora's wolf Ren.

Ren made two teachers already incapable of fighting any longer. With each snarl and growl coming out of Ren's mouth, the principal knew they could not last long. Each time Ren snarled, they all felt their wolves howling to submit.

But submitting would mean losing the fight and being injured so badly you'd be flung around like a rag doll until limp. Either passed out or dead. However, luckily the two teachers who submitted weren't attacked, yet they were still gravely injured.

The others knew in this fight, they would not be able to last longer. If they were to fall, Maya would be ripped apart.

The teacher surrounding Maya looked on, their faces filled with worry. One young teacher could help but be angry. The mess was way above their pay, and they also had no idea why or how this was happening.

His patience wore out as the third teacher went down. He pushed past the other and grabbed the naked Maya covered in a blanket that teachers gave her when she shifted back to human form.

"Explain! What the fuck is happening?" The male teacher shook Maya vigorously.

Maya didn't reply, instead, she only began to cry hard.

"Fucking answer! Why is this happening?"

"Kevin, enough! That child is scared." A female teacher placed a hand his shoulder, and his tense body relaxed. The female teacher was his mate, just her touch made him calm down, but he couldn't stop the need to question Maya.

The male teacher was about to press Maya for more answers when howls in every direction burst through the parking lot.

The nearest pack warriors to the school burst in. Without a care, they leaped onto cars to make their way to the fights.

Kevin had no choice but to let it go now, it was more important to get to the injured teachers.

As the more highly trained warriors reached Ren, she attacked them furiously and pushed them back slightly. However, even as powerful as she was, eleven highly trained pack warriors were still a bit much for her.

Ren was angry, the pack was stopping her from killing Maya. They were hurting her to save that bitch. The more she thought about it, the angrier and more hurt she became.

Her rage burst through, and soon the pack warriors weren't enough to slow down Ren. The eleven fightings her off dropped nine in the blink of an eye. That didn't mean Ren was in good shape, either. Although she aimed for the vitals, they couldn't, but the injuries on Ren were continuously rising.

While the warriors were stalling Ren, new warriors started to appear. It didn't take long for the new warriors to fall into the fray.

And after what felt like an eternity, the warriors managed to do what they were beginning to believe was impossible. They separated Jace and Alaric. It gave Alaric the much need time to recover some of his wits and study the surrounding chaos.

Shifting back into human form, Alaric was graciously lent a hand by a pack warrior who also shifted. Tears stung Alaric's eyes, his mate surrounded and raging. Her angry snarls and hurt whimpers were coming off her in waves.

He wanted to dash toward her and hold her, to calm her down. But in the state, he was in he had to stay right here not only but he had no right to calm her down. She was like this because of him. She might even attack him if he tried to go there.

An angry, out-of-control Aurora was already hard enough to deal with and Alaric feared if Jace caught the scent of Maya right now, it'd send his wolf into more of a frenzy.

With all the blood and chaos, the scent has been lost. It was simply a blessing in disguise as these strong pack warriors weren't focused on the smells but on the chaos. If the news of Maya's pregnancy was to break into the pack, everything would be drastically different.

He didn't think of the consequences, he only thought at that time she felt like his mate. He didn't know it would be like this.

If the pack warriors knew they were blocking their future Luna, they would step aside. Some would even go as far as to attack Maya for their luna. That was the loyalty of the pack toward the mother of the pack.

As Alaric looked at the situation with a pained expression, Anderson and Aiden burst through from the tree lines. The father and son duo glanced at the chaos happening.

Jace and Aurora's wolves were completely surrounded. Anderson paused for a second, but he rushed toward his daughter. Her pained yelps and snarls hurt him more than any wound could.

After leaping on several cars, Anderson made it to the encircled Aurora and shifted. Without care for his agreement with Alaric's father the alpha of the pack, Kent, he let his aura swirl around him.

Slowly, the shocked warriors made a pathway for Anderson in fright. He walked towards Ren in slow, steady steps. Even though there was an opening, the wolf didn't move nor did she fight. She only lowered her head and bared her teeth toward her father.

Ren was intimidated by Anderson's aura. This was the strongest person she had come across. Of course, with her mind in limbo, she didn't even notice it was her father.

"Ren," Anderson's voice came out in a deep rumble more bestial than man. His wolf Cyrus was speaking through his mouth. "Come to me, pup. Papa is here."

But to Anderson's and Cyrus' surprise, Ren didn't heed his call. She instead attacked him with everything she had. It was at this moment the man and wolf realized their child had lost all reason.

The situation had become worse.
