Chapter 19 - Rejecting A Wolf

"Argh!" Aurora screamed, her body felt like it was on fire and freezing at the same time. Her bones felt like they were just shy of breaking, and her skin felt like it weighed a ton.

"Shit," Anderson cursed, "I forgot her clothes. Help me Aiden."

"With what?" Aiden asked dumbly as his father began to move closer to Aurora.

"With her fucking clothes! What else!" Anderson snapped at Aiden, making the young man grimace, but complied, and then they both touched her.

Her skin was scalding hot, a sizzling sound came from where they both touched her bare skin. Aurora's screams grew louder. In a panic, they dropped their hands and moved away.

"Shit," Anderson cursed. Just trying to pull Aurora's top over her head sent her into a spasm. They two watched in shock as

froth came out of her mouth as her screams became choked. They couldn't touch her.

"Fuck, dad, what do we do?" Aiden's forehead creased, his face littered with worry.

"We can't touch her but, she can't shift with those clothes on, it'll make it worse," Anderson sighed. "I'm going to shift and carefully snip it with my claws. You make sure she doesn't move."

"But you said.." Aiden frowned. Anderson just told him to avoid touching Aurora.

"I know what I said. God damn it. We don't have a choice, okay so unless she moves don't touch her." Anderson cut Aiden off and instructed him before shifting.

Anderson's shift caused him to rip the clothes he was wearing to shreds. His wolf, Cyrus, whined at seeing his pup in this state.

'I know, we can grieve later. Right now we need to rip the clothes off.' Anderson said to his wolf.

Cyrus complied with Anderson, allowing him full control of the wolf's form. Carefully, Anderson extended his claws.

He glanced at Aiden and nodded his big head at him. Taking that as his father's signal, Aiden moved closer to Aurora and nodded back.

Shara! The top tore as Anderson swiped his claw carefully. Luckily when she was dressed they left out the bra part.

But as Anderson glanced at her pants, he was certain she had on panties. It was her mother's habit.

'Shit,' Anderson cursed after staying motionless for a few seconds before shifting his feet. Swiftly, he tore her pants legs on either side. From the waistband to the bottom.

Aurora was now left with her panties. Anderson felt weird about having to directly rip them off her.

Although nudity was a part of their lifestyle, he never actively watched his children's bodies.

"Dad?" Aiden called out to Anderson, making him snap out of his weird thoughts. He looked at Aiden and nodded before finishing up.

After he finished tearing Aurora's clothes off, he shifted back into human, kneeling beside the panting young woman.

Froth dribbled down the sides of her mouth, passed either side of her cheeks, and into the ground beneath her.

"What now?" Aiden asked his father.

"We wait," Anderson mumbled, looking straight at Aurora's scrunched-up face.

Just as Aiden was going to reply, they heard a crack. It wasn't very loud but to them. it sounded like the loudest thing they ever heard.

Their eyes quickly scanned her for the source. Which they quickly found. On her right hand, her index finger was twisted.

It looked horrible, the finger was twisted into a zig-zag. It didn't stop at that, no. It was constantly shifting.

Crack! Crack! Crack!

Anderson and Aiden watched on in horror as her finger reshaped itself slowly. Her finger realigned into the shape of a wolf's claw. Only it looked out of place and wrong surrounded by her normal human fingers. The finger was devoid of fur, it pink resembling muscle tissue.

Crack! Crack! Aurora's body shook, the groan and screams came from her was an octave lower. Anderson's pupils shook, his mind in disarray as he never would have thought he had to witness this scene again.

When a werewolf first shift, it's true it is a long, tiring process. It was the first time a human was shift into a wolf. Bones need to be realigned and grow in certain places and if any ever asked what that experience was like, the answer would always be the same. Hell.

Unlike the first shift, this shift Aurora was going through would be worse. It was nothing like the first shift. On the first shift, if it began in the hands, the entire hand would shift into skinless paws before fur slowly grew on it. Though it was painful, the pain would only last a few seconds to a minute.

The pain was horrible, but it pales in comparison to what was happening to Aurora.. Aurora's shift began in her hands. One by one, her bones snapped and realigned themselves in the most gruesome manner.

The pain didn't last seconds before numbing away, she felt every bit of pain. She didn't have a wolf to shield her from the pain. Her mind was active, more active than it ever had been. Aurora was long aware of what was happening and being said around her, she just could't move or speak even if she wanted to. She could only scream and pant through it all.

Anderson wanted to touch Aurora so badly, to caress her head and comfort her. Let her know they were right here, that she wasn't alone. But he couldn't touch her. He could only tell her.

"We're right here with you, Aurora, me and Aiden are right here. It's okay baby. I know it hurts, but you'll be okay." Anderson told her, not wanting to be out done. Aiden followed up.

"Yeah, I'm here sis. I won't leave you alone. We won't leave you alone. So grit through it, I know it hurts, but you know you're stronger than me, so grit on."Aiden said to Aurora.

"Argh! Ahhh!" Aurora's screams didn't die down, along with the sounds of cracking. Slowly she was shifting from her human form. One bone, one joint at a time. One thing the duo noticed was the longer it went on the slower her breathing became. Aurora was losing! Anderson wouldn't let it happen. He couldn't!

"Remember when you were eight and you came to me after you fell and skinned your knee badly?" Anderson began, "You cried so much when I was dressing your wound. Remember what I told you that day?"

'It's okay to fall down and get wounds, even if you cry right after getting wounded, don't worry daddy would come and pick you back up and dress your wounds' Aurora thought of what he said to her that day.

"Daddy is right here with Rory, though I can dress these wounds right now, I promise. No, I swear I'll dress your wounds, so fight babygirl. I'm waiting here, so is your brother. And your mother and your sister-in-law. We are all waiting for you to get through this. Please, Rory, please."Anderson begged.

Aurora, who was slowly giving up, decided to fight just a little harder. Not for her sake, but for theirs. At least if she dies, she'd have no regrets. She could proudly say she fought as hard as she could before death.
