Chapter 38 - Rejecting A Wolf

The patrol wolves were running along the western border as the terrified screams of Aurora were heard.

They didn't even think and rushed toward the screams, but as they drew closer to the border.

What they saw stumped them. A big blur swiftly ran so quickly that even as they gave chase, it was no use as it was soon the screams disappeared, leaving the wolves stationed at the western border shivering.

The monster left from the western border before changing direction and moved to the south. The wolves would continue to chase it west, but in reality, it would be south.

Kent, Bryson, and Jason were having a small meeting as they do every day as each of them was mind linked about the situation at the western border.

The three of them immediately got to their feet. The appearance of a screaming woman, whatever took her, and the disappearance of it was a cause for great concern.

Immediately, Kent locked down the borders before sending a mass mind link to the pack.

Henry stood in the doorway of the house. Blood gushed into his nostrils, the blood of Jace.

Henry was so shocked as he followed the scent to the living room. When he was coming back home, he heard screams from Aurora.

He wanted to follow her screams but as soon as they appear they disappeared. It left a sinking feeling in the pit of his stomach.

He stood there worried if he should run to where he last heard Aurora or go home. But in the end, he rushed home and the scene in front of him had him drop to his knees in despair.

Jace's bloody battered form was lying there lifeless. Henry forgot to breathe as he watched his brother, his role model lying in the destroyed living room.

On his hands and knees, Henry crawled. He crawled to Jace and as he reached him Morel appeared.

"Holy shit!" She exclaimed as she appeared to see Jace's body. Before her eyes landed on the boy kneeling next to Jace trembling.

Without saving anything she conjured a spell and a light encased Jace's body. And crouched down.

"Little wolf, your brother is not dead." Morel turned her head and told Henry. Henry's body began to tremble more.

"Really," Henry forced out, not allowing himself to have hope. He felt as if Morel was just comforting him as Jace's chest didn't even rise and fall.

"He has a pulse, my spell is keeping him alive but barely. I can't save him, I'm not that powerful but you can help him. All my power is centered here to keep him alive I need you to mind link for help. Can you do that?" Morel softly explained, after hearing that Henry nodded as he was about to mind link his father.

The mass mind link sent by the alpha was heard by him. That's when he remembered Aurora.

"Dad!" Henry hurriedly mind-linked Jason. Jason, Kent, and Bryson were already making their way to the western border when Henry mind linked him." Dad, it's Jace, he's barely alive. He was attacked."

Hearing that, Jason's mind immediately went into overdrive. He stumbled before coming to a stop. Bryson and Kent noticed his weird movement and stopped a few paces away from him in front as they turned back giving him a questioning glance.

"Morel's here, she's preserving his heartbeat but he's not breathing! Dad, I think I heard Aurora's screams in the forest. Dad!" Everything Henry told Jaso. sent him through a whirlwind. But it all came down to who did it. It didn't take a genius to figure it out.

Jason glanced at Kent briefly before mind-linking Henry. 'I'm on my way!'

'The screaming, the blur, and my son's life hanging by the balance. Kenneth, your son nearly killed mine and has taken Aurora.' Jason said in a mind link to both Kent and Bryson.

'Wha...what?' Kent stammered his eyes going wide in shock as Bryson also stood there shocked.

'I'm going to rip your son's fucking throat out if my son dies! And even if he doesn't I'll still kill him.' Jason's fur raised as he threatened his alpha before he turned and dashed off in the direction of his house mind linking Nailiah in the process.

Meanwhile, Kent was stumped, Alaric did this? The whole pack was on lockdown and on alert because of Alaric, Ironic isn't it. No matter what happens today. It wasn't favorable.

'Go with Jason, Bryson. I'm going to track Alaric.' Kent threw the order out as he dashed madly towards the western border, mind linking Aurora's family in the process.

Everyone was sent into a panic. Now their greatest concern was saving Jace and finding Aurora.

But as the search was led west, the monster was moving quickly south as it stopped in a clearing.

The clearing was wide with flat grass in it and the middle had this flat rock formation.

The monster moved, and Aurora never stopped struggling.

She was never one to give in, so she struggled more fiercely as she could see the trees around them when she notice him slowing down.

It was clear they made it to wherever it was carrying her to. Without care, it dropped Aurora onto the rock. This was a golden chance but even before it was a chance she could take.

The monster ripped it out, right from the beginning, as it grabbed her arms and swiftly, snapped them.

Aurora belted out a horrifying shriek, he broke them she couldn't struggle, she couldn't push him away she was immobilized.

The monster flipped her over to make her lie on her stomach. Aurora screamed louder than she possibly could and begged him.

"Alaric, please, please! Oh God Alaric no please!" Aurora screamed, tears streaming down her face as it hooked its nails into her clothes and tore them away.

It didn't care. It even drew blood as its nails grazed her skin when it tore her clothes off. Aurora turned her head and saw the monster above her.

And the thing it was about to press into her body. Fear, helplessness, loss, and finally hopelessness flicker across her eyes.

"Devin! Devin, please, please don't hurt me." Aurora wiggled, even the pain she felt from having her bones broken didn't stop her from trying to get away as she felt that monstrous thing touch her butt.

The monster grabbed her shoulder and held her down as it moved forward. All the crying, screaming, and begging couldn't help.

Then she felt it, Aurora thought she had been through the worse. That she knew pain, that she felt pain!

But nothing hurt like this, not was more painful. Nothing could scar her like this. It tried to enter her front, it really did, but it didn't budge.

So when it slipped and began pushing forward to the back, ripping open the small opening and entering her body. The screams she let out were more terrifying than the last.

At one point, as it moved in and out of her in a bloody mess. She stopped screaming, her eyes were dead.

Aurora died inside as it moved. Violating her body. He took everything from her. Her friends, her family, her mate, her wolf, and her innocence were all lost to Alaric Lynx.

With the last bit of strength, she had she raised her head and smashed it into the rock beneath her. Over and over and over again.

Her head swirled as she lost consciousness. Leaving whether she was alive or dead up in the air.

The last thing Aurora heard was a loud growl before she drifted away.

The young man standing on the other end of the clearing didn't spare his rod as he conjured his spell and flung the monster off Aurora's body and a few feet away from her.

The two wolves rushed in and went for the kill ripping Alaric's throat out swiftly. Before they rushed toward the young woman.

Shifting the two wolves shifted into a young man and a woman, respectively.

"A fucking half Lycan!" The young woman snarled as she rushed towards Aurora's broken body.

The man didn't say anything he only glanced at Alaric on the ground.

"We need to leave. We don't have the means to kill it completely. Nick can't hold it down forever." the man told the young woman as she gathered Aurora into her arms.

"She's alive, but barely we need to go now." the young woman nodded at the man, but as he came closer and properly looked at Aurora's body and smelled her scent his body froze.

His wolf howled in joy and he was stomped as he muttered the word that would shock The witch and the young woman to their very core.

"Mate"
