Everly rubbed her eyes as she rolled onto back, the firm grip on her waist let her know that she wasn't in bed alone.
Turning to her other side she seen Gabriel playing on his phone, and it made her wonder how long she slept for, because she knew he was tired when they came back here from the hospital.
"How long was I asleep?" I asked laying my head on his hard bare chest. My fingers automatically began tracing the design of his tattoo.
She wondered what this was, but didn't bother asking him, it was huge going from his upper chest to his neck and part of his shoulder.
"Not long, just 2 hours." he set his phone down and looked at me. "We have guests"
"I'm not in the best state to be meeting people, Gabriel!" I told him and he sighed "you'll want to see them after what I tell you."
I finally looked up at him. "Okay, who is it?" I asked him and he was silent for a while before he decided to answer my question.
"They are King Leonardo and Queen Amelia of the Faye Kingdom. And they said that you are their long lost daughter."
I stared at him for a moment before my brain caught up on his words, and I began laughing. "You are joking right?" I asked him as I sat up.
"Well we will know when you meet them, and if you feel something, like a bond to them then we will know that they aren't lying." I furrowed my eyebrows together.
"I'm human, Gabriel! I am not a Fairy, I have no powers." I told him now getting off the bed and he followed me. "Only the supernatural have the ablity to sense their family, I don't have that."
"How old were you when you were found by your parents and Alpha?" he asked me suddenly.
Shrugging my shoulders I turned away from him "7 months old! From what I was told I had a bite mark on my shoulder." I moved the shirt aside to show him the back of my shoulder.
"There's a scar but because of the attack from those rouges you can't see it very well." I followed him as he moved behind me.
His fingers grazed over the area where the wolf bit into my shoulder, then he moved up a little "I see it, and what about this one?" he moved to the scar on my neck and I tensed up moving the shirt back.
"My dad gave me that one!" I whispered.
Gabriel hugged me from behind and placed his chin on my shoulder. "I'll get you something to change into and we can go meet them in the livingroom."
I sighed and nodded my head. I honestly didn't want to meet them, I had wonderful parents growing up, so why would I need them now?
Gabriel left the room leaving me to think on my own.
A few minutes later he returned with a dress in his hands and a few other items. "Where's Jorge?" I asked him, he should be home from school by now.
"Detective Jorge is in the livingroom keeping the Royal couple under his watchful eye." Gabriel chuckled, his son didn't trust a lot of people only family, and even Everly from the start.
I watched as she walked into the bathroom, she left the door partially opened and I restraned myself from watching her change, my hot blooded wolf wanting me to claim her so we could be one.
When she was finished she walked out adjusting the strap on her shoulder, then reached for the zipper in the back. "Do I have too?" she asked, practically begging me to not make her do it.
"If my beautiful mate is really a Fairy I'd like to know just in case you start using magic on me." I teased and she pouted, she didn't see the small bit of magic that happened earlier.
"Come on mi amor, let's go relieve Jorge of his supervision duties." I laughed and caused her to smile a little. "He also don't like Aaron, seems Jocelyn told him what he and Aiden did."
"He's 5, he don't understand why Aaron did it, but I wouldn't mind if he didn't like Aiden. He is the jerk between them both!" Everly smirked and I grabbed her hand.
She let out an exaggerated breath as I pulled her to the door, as we walked down the hall we began to hear Jorge laughing, and I shook my head at the little traitor. We were supposed to be on 'Team Evie' till we knew.
She stopped right before we entered the room, she was concentrating on her breathing before she put up a fake smile and entered the livingroom.
Following behind her I seen Jorge on King Leonardo's lap as he tickled him, but when Jorge spotted us he jummped up and ran over.
"Evie, I missed you all day!" he said as he barreled into her legs, causing her to giggle lightly, she then leaned down to his level and whispered. "I see you've went deep undercover here, how's the suspects looking?"
His face lit up as he caught on to what she was saying. "It's hard work, but so far they seem pretty nice." Jorge whispered back.
Everly leaned in and kissed his cheek, but as she got up she picked him up with her. "My very own detective. I think he has my back over yours, Gabriel!"
I already knew this, Jorge was a little ladies man and he seemed to have Everly wrapped around his finger just as she did him.
He noticed how tense she was as she looked everywhere but at them. King Leonardo stood up and walked closer and when he was just a few steps from her she took a step back.
He was hurt by that, but he never said a word.
"mi amor mírame?" I asked and she turned her head to look at me, I smiled at the fact that she can understand what I wanted, even if she didn't speak very much Spanish. "Ellos solo quieren hablar."
She sighed with a small nod and turned back to them, Jorge was playing with a strand of her hair, it seemed to relax her because she lifted her gaze to the King.
