Rishi's PoV
I never knew driving to my work will give me so much happiness! Getting away from Danya is giving me mixed emotions. Like I can’t see her until night which makes me feel a little worried. But away from her, finally I can think and talk to Karthik. That makes me happy!
She is a perfect bundle of beauty, fun, childish and entertainment! I love her family. I like her brother so much! We packed food and bat and ball to their kuladeivam temple! We teamed up as a boys' team and girls’ team! They were very generous and gave me the captain title for the boys’ team! Danya was the captain of the girls' team. The ultimate rule is we have to out them 5 times before we take their wicket! That is, the girls team has 5 chances before they accept that they are out. And the boys team has no such leverage!
And you guessed right! This rule is made up by the 3 sisters. Looks like they all play every time they visit this temple. I saw some people greet uncles and Aakash and watched us play! With that cheating rule, the girls team won by 13 runs! I really had fun! Danya and Shanu argued for every time we take a wicket saying NOT OUT! They were the umpires too!
She is such a child! She enjoys every moment with her family! All her family actually enjoys every moment! When they won the game, Danya did a happy dance and her anni stopped her, looking at me! That look on her face when she realized that she danced in front of me! OMG that’s priceless! She went all red and ran to her perippa and hid behind him. She is really a kid.
Her dance was cute though!
"Good morning Rishi! You are in a Happy mood huh?"
I entered the lift of my office building all smiling thinking about her dance! I should be looking like a lunatic! That’s my manager Prakash.
"Good morning, Prakash! How’s everything? Everything goes as per our schedule right!?"
"Yes Rishi! We have some files that need your signature. other than that, everything is on track."
"All right, I will see you later".
I entered my floor and went straight to my office. I called up Karthik!
Karthick is my school mate. We studied together from 1st grade! He is my best and only friend! He has a construction company. I hold some shares in his company! I helped him with some monetary needs and he insisted on giving some shares. He says business is business.
I have taken Smirthi to his company many times. I introduced her only to him. I need to tell him all that has happened. I guess he can help me clear the clouds and see things properly.
"Hello! Hey new Groom! How was the wedding?"
Yeah! He didn't attend my wedding! He has to go to Agra regarding his work.
"All good. Are you busy now?"
"It’s Monday morning, 9.30am, boss! I am busy"
"I want to talk to you da! Can you come over to my office?"
"Is everything alright? How’s Smirthi?! She must be happy that she got married to you! I mean she was waiting for it for 2years!"
"CAN YOU COME OVER?"
"Cool buddy! Can I come during your lunch break?"
"No! come here like right now!"
"Alright! I will be there in another half an hour."
I started waiting for him. Meanwhile, I went through my work and signed some papers that awaited my approval.
"Hey man! You are glowing! So, everything is done huh!? Oh No, my friend is not a virgin anymore!"
"Stop that drama queen! Nothing is alright."
I told him everything and he looked like a load of electricity passed on him.
"You mean you married some random girl? Are you insane? What about that love for Smirthi? Did you even tried to contact her?"
"Not some random girl. She is my dad's friend's daughter. I don’t know why she agreed to marry me though. About Smirthi, I tried calling her but she didn’t pick up!"
"You married some other girl just because Smirthi didn’t pick up the call?"
"No, I tried calling her only the next day."
"What? You are nuts! What if Smirthi comes back with a valid reason for her disappearance? Why did you agree to marry Danya?"
"I don’t know Karthik! For some reasons I don’t feel like stopping the marriage with Danya. I went with the flow. I have to do something to put a full stop to Smirthi!"
"So, you have decided to lead your life with a girl who you don’t know!? What about Smirthi? Did you even love her? With what you say I feel like you don’t care about Smirthi."
"Karthik, don't make it hard for me. I’m already confused. I can’t hurt Danya. I tried avoiding her and she cried like a baby. I couldn't do that to her."
"You say this about a girl who you know nothing about. You care for her so much and you least care about Smirthi!?"
"It’s all Smirthi's fault. If she has not eloped the wedding hall in the first place nothing like this would have happened".
"Rishi we still don’t know her reasons. Damn it, you are doomed. And you say that Danya knows you before itself?"
"Yeah I heard her say that!"
"What if she married you for money?"
"She is not that kind of a girl, Karthik. I can’t think like that of her. I mean she is not a poor girl. Her father is rich too!"
"But not rich like you!"
"In that case Smirthi is a middle-class girl Karthik!"
"So now you compare Smirthi and Danya!?""Gosh I don’t know what to do?! Dad and Ravi are very fond of her, Karthik. Ravi calls her ANNI like a thousand times in a day!"
"What? Uncle and Ravi never involved in any of your matters with Smirthi! Uncle even avoided distributing your wedding invitations! And they like this new girl?"
"Yes!"
"She must be something Rishi! She even made you take up her side! I mean no wonder uncle likes her. Because she is his friend's daughter. But Ravi? Why does he like her?"
"True right!? I even thought she was a witch!"
"hahaha what? really? I really want to see her! Hahaha".
He thinks it’s funny! I want to punch him in the face and see him bleed!
"Your meeting can wait! Now what should I do first? My dad is pushing me hard! He made her shift to my room. From today we are going to sleep in the same room!"
"Don't worry buddy! Let’s hire a detective and find out about Smirthi first! We will go from there to the next step."
"mmmmm ok da. Do you know any private detective agencies?"
"Whoa slow down man. I really have loads of work to do at my office. I will ask Dhiwakar to find a good detective agency before tonight. We will go tomorrow ok?"
"Hmmm ok!"
"Ok da I really have to go now. Will see you tomorrow! Bye Rishi!"

This Karthik made me more confused! What if Smirthi has a valid reason for her disappearance like Karthik says? Why didn’t I care for Smirthi like I do for Danya.I mean I hardly know her for 5 days and I have known Smirthi for more than 2years. Smirthi has more right to be with me if she has a valid reason. I should let Danya go!
Aaghhh, I want to pull my hair out! Let this all wait until we see a detective tomorrow! I have loads of work to attend to!
What? I left my laptop at home?! These happenings are getting on my nerves! I have to go home now!Shit! It's already 11am and I did nothing!
I started driving back home to get my laptop!
